Care for your jewelry

Made to be used — and to outlast us.

Our pieces are made of 18-karat gold and natural diamonds, meant to be worn every day rather than kept stored away. With a few simple gestures, they will last for generations.

Care is also part of the inheritance.
The essentials

Four habits that make jewelry last.

Nothing here is complicated. It's consistency, not effort.

Save

Each piece in its place, separate from the others. Gold scratches gold, and diamond scratches everything.

Clear

Warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Dry well before storing.

Use

The last thing you put on, the first thing you take off. Perfume and cream always before jewelry.

Review

Setting and polishing deserve a periodic check-up. Wear and tear is normal — and it can be fixed.

By material

Each material calls for a different gesture.

18-karat gold In all pieces
Take care of it like this
  • Wash in warm water with mild soap.
  • Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Take it for professional polishing when the shine fades.
Avoid
  • Swimming pool chlorine and bleach.
  • Seawater without rinsing afterwards.
  • Household cleaning products.
Natural diamonds Brilliant cut
Take care of it like this
  • Soft-bristle brush behind the stone — that's where oil builds up and steals the shine.
  • Check the prongs from time to time by running your finger over them carefully.
Avoid
  • Abrasive cloths, toothpaste, and baking soda.
  • Products containing ammonia.
  • At-home ultrasonic cleaners, which can loosen the setting.
Colored gemstones When present in the part
Take care of it like this
  • Slightly damp cloth and immediate drying.
  • Store away from direct light and heat.
Avoid
  • Prolonged water immersion.
  • Sudden temperature change.
  • Ultrasound and steam.
Quick reference

The golden rules.

Always
  • Jewelry is the last thing you put on.
  • Store each piece separately from the others.
  • Dry well before storing.
  • Remove before sleeping, exercising, and swimming.
  • Check the setting once a year.
Never
  • Pool or sea with the jewelry on your body.
  • Household cleaning products.
  • Toothpaste or baking soda.
  • At-home ultrasonic cleaners.
  • All pieces stored together in the same box.

Storage and travel

Where the jewel rests.

Half of a piece of jewelry's preservation happens when it is not being worn.

  1. 01

    One piece per bag

Stored together, they scratch each other — especially diamonds, which scratch any other material.

  2. 02

    Necklaces laid flat, never hung

Hanging for too long puts tension on the links and encourages tangling.

  3. 03

    Hard case for travel

With dividers and a soft lining. It never comes loose in the toiletry bag.
